Chhatra Sangbad apologises, removes controversial article defaming Liberation War

In response to recent controversy, Islami Chhatra Shibir has removed certain lines from the online version of its magazine, "Chhatra Sangbad," which were deemed defamatory to Bangladesh's Liberation War.

The organisation issued an apology, saying that the inclusion of these controversial lines was "unexpected".

In their statement, Chhatra Sangbad expressed regret over the publication of the article that made the Liberation War a subject of controversy. It said the contentious article has been removed from the online version, and all printed copies of the December 2024 edition have been recalled.

Earlier, several student organisations, including Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, protested the publication for defaming freedom fighters and the Liberation War.
