Microsoft Teams is set to launch a real-time AI-powered language interpreter, allowing participants to speak or listen in their preferred language during meetings, according to a recent blog post by Microsoft.

The feature will use speech-to-speech translation to replicate users' voices in different languages. The interpreter tool will enter preview in early 2025, supporting up to nine languages initially.

This new feature is part of a suite of AI-powered updates coming to Microsoft Teams. Meeting transcriptions will soon support multilingual dialogues, with up to 31 translation languages available for transcripts.
